Felony Driving Under The Influence
There are three ways a DUI may go from simple DUI (a misdemeanor) to a felony DUI:
- If you’re DUI resulted in the death or injury of another person
- You may also be charged with DUI vehicular manslaughter or even second degree murder (Watson Murder).
- If you have been convicted of four DUI’s within a 10 year period
- Any out-of-state convictions for DUI count towards the total over a 10 year span.
- If you have at least one prior felony DUI conviction
